Bethany Lerch
Rotary Amabassadorial Scholar and Founder of "able to"

Bethany is a former Fulbright scholar to the German Rhineland and Rotary Foundation scholar to the University of Saint Andrews. After grad school in the UK, she came back to Wisconsin and work with area non-profits. Later she was an Assistant Lecturer of American Studies at the University of Leipzig in Germany, volunteer English teacher in Palestine, and military trainer in Afghanistan.

Following 16 months in Kabul, Bethany traveled for nearly a year. She has since returned to Oshkosh to resume school and grow "able to" an educational initiative for Afghan women, with with Rotary support. Bethany is a grad student again, this time in Professional Counseling. Someday, when she grows up, she hopes to help refugees, vulnerable minorities, and women and children.
