The Rotary Club of Neenah recently presented its club service award along with more than $35,000 in scholarships to students in the Neenah Joint School District.
 
 Jamie Kriewaldt was presented with the Jack R. Grist club service award for her extensive dedication to the Rotary Club of Neenah as a member, club president and co-leader of the club’s STRIVE program.
 
Neenah Rotary STRIVE scholarships were presented to Jarvelle Crawford, Jayden East, Abigail Hill and Kalia Vanschindel, all Neenah High School seniors.
Rotary “Areas of Focus” scholarships are awarded to students who plan to pursue a career in one of Rotary International’s areas of focus: promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water and sanitation, saving mothers and children, supporting education, growing local economies and protecting the environment.  Scholarships were presented to Derick Brown, Jaden Leal, Addison Leidke, and Shenyeng Lo of Neenah High School.
 
The Dan Johnson scholarship is in honor of a former Rotary Club of Neenah member and awarded to  students who have demonstrated high academic achievement, community involvement, and high moral character.  Dan Johnson memorial scholarships were presented to, Neenah High School and Benjamin Schoeni, St. Mary Catholic High School.
 
The Jack Casper "Service Above Self ' scholarship is presented in honor of former Neenah Rotarian Jack Casper who during his many years of service to the Neenah community as Secretary/Treasurer of the Rotary Club of Neenah and Executive Director of The Boys and Girls Brigade exemplified the Rotary ideal of "Service Above Self '. Recipients of this scholarship are nominated by their high school, and interviewed and selected by a panel of members of the Rotary Club of Neenah based on their demonstration of and commitment to serving others and their community
