Dana Kohlmeyer Recognized for Her Work with Rotary Youth Exchange

Dana's work includes organizing and participating in two District scheduled weekend events: an orientation weekend in September and the Central States Inbound/Outbound Retreat in June. In addition she assists with the weekend hosted by our club and normally attends two additional club weekend events within the district. She has also chaperoned the students at the District Conference two of the last three years.
Dana commits an average of 8 to 12 hours per week and including time spent following up on monthly reports that are required from each of the students relative to their Rotary related activities, grades and school/social related activities
Aside from the "paperwork" Dana is a resource for students and host families, helping with the occasional conflicts between host families and students and an assortment of behavioral issues ranging from homesickness to disciplinary items, verifying insurance coverage for student illnesses and arrangements related to non-Rotary trips (such as a Notre Dame football game for a current exchange student).
At last count, the Kohlmeyers have one file cabinet filled copies of applications, visas and passports, emergency contact information, insurance information, school information, etc. kept for each student Neenah Rotary joins the District in thanking Dana for her amazing commitment to these students. Her efforts are truly "service above self."
